As the COVID Pandemic moves from weeks to months the information on the virus continues to grow. Staying on top of the discoveries and treatment advancements can be challenging and time consuming. Fortunately UBC's department of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) has been curating a series of learning resources to keep all of us informed.
Still the UBC CPD's website has hundreds of topics, courses, seminars and documents. Navigating their collection of resources can sometimes be a bit daunting. So, we have summarized some of the main parts of their COVID resources so you don't have to.
First, the website. This very simple address will get you access to all of the CPD Resources on COVID-19. When you land on this page you are presented with a series of UPCOMING Webinars. These are live seminars that you can attend and are presented on a variety of topics. This page is updated regularly so come back often to see what new topics have been added.
And don't worry, if you missed some of the webinars, they have them archived and you can find all of their past webinars on this ARCHIVE page (in reverse order by date).
The other main area to check out on the CPD COVID-19 website is the RESOURCES HUB.
"Browse this resource hub to view current and reliable education and resources about COVID-19 being offered by UBC CPD and other education providers." This section houses best practices, guidelines, research, recommendations, findings and much more. It is neatly organized into categories that are intuitive and easy to navigate.
The last area to call out is the QUESTIONS & ANSWERS section. If you are still looking for support or have additional questions they have provided resources to find the information that you need.
"We are responding rapidly to questions posed by you and other providers during the COVID-19 pandemic. This may involve evidence review and summary, sourcing existing resources such as pre-printed order sets, or sharing ideas and innovations. The response is sent directly to you and added to the expanding online library of questions and answers. REAKT is powered by volunteer medical students, The UBC Division of Continuing Professional Development’s Rural Program (UBC RCPD) and the Rural Coordination Centre of BC (RCCbc)." The Q&A Page can be found here;
If you have additional questions or comments you can reach out to the REAKT Team (Rapid Evidence and Knowledge Translation) at: ask.reakt@ubc.ca
Between all of these resources you should be able to find the answers that you need to the majority of your questions. The one area that CPD doesn't touch on as much is Technological Resources to support your clinic, such as Virtual Clinic solutions. Fortunately Arya EHR has you covered. During the Pandemic our Virtual Clinic is FREE to new users.
As you work remotely you might be struggling with accessing your Electronic Medical Records, as well as virtually connecting with your patients. Arya EHR can solve both of these issues for you. Our Virtual Clinic offers quality care to patients even if they can't come into your clinic, including Telehealth Video Connections*.
